SIMAI was established in 1950 as a company importing industrial materials and then became a manufacturer of handling equipment.
In 2016, SIMAI was acquired by Toyota Material Handling Manufacturing Italy SpA, a sole shareholder company (thus becoming part of the Toyota Material Handling Europe group, part of Toyota Industries Corporation).
Over the years, SIMAI has specialised in the design, manufacture and sale of electric tow tractors and platform trucks for horizontal handling. Currently it offers the widest range in Europe and has become one of the top European players in this specific sector.
Design, development and customer service have always been at the heart of SIMAI activity, to consistently provide products that are cutting edge.
